40th Anniversary Committee meeting
Meeting at 6pm, Sept 24, Room 21. Please come to help plan this special occasion!
Performance Attire Swap & Sale is Sept 24, 6:15pm,
Dress try-ons will start at 6:15 on Monday Sept 24, for anyone who needs a dress for the concert. There are some used dresses for sale, and we'll take info for new dresses to be ordered. Please bring a check or cash to buy a dress or put down a deposit of $30.00 for a new dress. If you picked out a dress at last week's swap, bring your check THIS WEEK. If you have a dress to trade please be there ASAP so it can get sold.
Dress try-ons will be held on Oct 1 also, but the dresses are special ordered so they MUST be ordered that 1st week of Oct so they can get back to us in time for the concert! There will also be info for new gentlemen members about their concert attire.
Board Meetings
Choir members are welcome to attend board meetings for Soli Deo Gloria. The schedule is posted in our Calendar above.
Concert Recording
Penguin Recording will record our December concert. Orders for CDs will be taken beginning in October.
Columbus Day
We WILL have rehearsal on Columbus Day, Oct 8th; please plan to be there.
Section Leaders Needed
We are still in need of section leaders in our Tenor and Bass sections. The section leader keeps track of attendance for the section. Please consider helping as a section leader.
Refreshment Volunteers
Marg Roeder has moved to Texas, and our refreshment volunteer ranks have been thinned, but most of us like snacks! Can you come a few minutes early to help set up, and put away after break? Please consider helping our Refreshment team.
Prayer Requests
Please remember Harry Borowski in your prayers; he has brain cancer. Let us know if this are others we should remember in prayer for the Soli Deo Gloria community.
L.A. Baritones Concert & Vocal Workshop
The concert last night was superb; I'm heading to the vocal workshop today!
Workshop: Free Workshop on Vocal Techniques with the L.A. Baritones — The Los Angeles Baritones will present a free workshop on vocal technique. No experience required, just an interest in music. All ages welcome. Free and open to the public, no tickets required.

We've been emailing an expanded mailing list over the summer, due to the upcoming performance attire sale, and for returning/potential members. After Sept 24, 2012, routine News & Notes will be sent only to registered members. We'll plan to send a pre-concert announcement to our entire mailing list.
