Hello Kristin,

Concert Feedback
Our president, Juliette, was recuperating, and so attended our concert as part of the audience; giving us first-hand audience feedback:

"High praises went through the audience after the concert.  I spoke with many who were moved to tears, and that would include me.  My goodness, you all had sparks flying out to us."

Here are comments from the sheets in the programs.  Not many forms were returned, but many stayed to tell members how wonderful the concert was and how much they enjoyed it.

"Really Good. Praise God!"

"You have beautiful music and a great choir"

"Appreciate when the conductor explains some of the songs that were being sung tonight.  Also love the Butter Braids and cookie dough."

"You pick out the best!"

"Were the female soloists close enough to the microphones?  Their voices were sometimes lost or faraway."

"Reverent music of any style (including percussion) is lovely to us.  Keep up the good work."

We received over 500 pounds of food for West Side Cares. I received a note from Mr. Brown of West Side Cares that their pantry had nearly been depleted that week and they were not sure where they were going to get more food for those in need.  That food came from the Soli Concert.  Not only was the audience blessed by the music, but many others were blessed by the Soli tradition of asking attendees to bring a non-perishable food item to share.

We also received a little over $2000 in funds from the offering and had 450+ in attendance.

Thank you for your patience while I recovered enough to get this information to you.  Many blessings to all.

~ juliette

Leadership Update
Thank you to Juliette, our outgoing president, who has presided with class and grace during the transition of director and accompanist.  Welcome to Tom O'Hearn, our new president, who'll be leading us into the 40th anniversary concert next spring.

Performance Attire
Have you changed a size or two?  Is the performance attire that once fit perfectly now too large or too small?  Look your best for next season's concerts; bring your performance attire to the "Swap & Sell" we'll have early this fall. Stay tuned for the date.

Retired members:  we'll be glad to resell your performance attire, also.  Recycle with us!

Calendar Reminder
Mark your calendars for registration on Monday, September 10, 2012, 6pm.  Rehearsal begins just before 7, with a break, and concludes at 9:30pm.

Do you have a friend who likes to sing?  Please pass along our newsletter; new members keep us strong as we say farewell to those who move away and retire.

See you this fall!
